Strategic Objectives
1. Launching visible development programmes that will eventually alleviate food insecurity; 2. Organising and mobilising Konso community for self help development endeavours; 3. Promoting social services which focus on education, health, water, sanitation and hygiene; 4. The Advancement of environmental protection or improvement; 5. Promotion of family planning activities to check on population growth; 6. Assessing backward thoughts and harmful practices and HIV/AIDS and support people to fight against these; 7. Developing socio-economic data base and creating favourable situation for holistic development through information provision; 8. The relief of those in need by reason of age, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage; 9. Creating partnership and bilateral relations with government, donors, NGOs within and outside the country for financial, material and technical support for the intended development programmes; 10. The advancement of capacity building, on the basis of the Woreda’s long term development directions; and 11. Supporting advancement of Konso Art, Culture and Heritage.
