Orphan Support

This picture show the orphans supported by KDA in partnership with CCRDA / Civil Society Support Program by British Council. The support was given in five rural Kebeles and one town: Karat Town - The Capital of Konso Woreda.

Culture and Tourism

This centre is the Konso Cultural Centre which was built by the fund secured from EU through Cooperazione Internazionale Sud Sud (CISS) and implemented together with KDA. The centre is now running on its own by the established service cooperatives and generating its internal income in order to sustain on its generated economic and cultural values.

Water Supply Access for Rural community

The picture depicts the availability of roof harvested water in Sorobo school through the project fund by FARM Africa/EU in collaboration with the community contribution the Community Development Fund (CDF) Scheme which was devised to boost the planning capacity of Kebele planning committees and Village Developing committees.
In the school, the water is being used for drinking, cleaning, gardening vegetable watering for the sake of school internal income and environmental conservation.

Human Resource Capacity Building

Among the one of the core activities of KDA, capacity building is the main that preceeds all the other development activities in order to fully deliver services with in the intended period and resource (human, material and financial).

This picture shows government sector office experts training on the way of mainstreaming HIV/AIDS in other development and economic projects and programs within their regular planning and respective implementation. The training was financially supported by CCRDA and Irish Aid, and then locally implemented by Konso Development Association for three years (2009 - 2011)

Livelihood Development for the Poor
Modern fattening center at Durayte Kebele Gersale village by KDA in collaboration with Counterpart International (CPI) in Ethiopian Sustainable Tourism Alliance (ESTA) Project for the Poorest households established as Cooperative (2013) so as to increase the household income at individual level and consequently lead their livelihood.
