The South Ethiopia Peoples’ Development Association (SEPDA): is an indigenous not for profit non-governmental development organization established in July 1993 as an umbrella to 23 Nationality Development Associations (NDAs - like KDA). SEPDA is established to contribute towards the alleviation of poverty in local communities by mobilizing resources from the local and international sources. The NDAs are membership organizations with their structures extending to the grassroots level through which the actual community and resources mobilization (labor, material, and finance) is realized. SEPDA has two types of membership base (individual and institutional).
SEPDA has got Program Development and Coordination Department whose major role is project proposal preparation and appraisal, follow-up, supervision, monitoring and evaluation and provision of technical backup for member NDAs. Many of the projects have project coordinator/s that are stationed at the NDAs office and coordinate the implantation processes. As part of its capacity building roles, SEPDA has organized several trainings that enable NDAs to plan, monitor and evaluate projects. Other departments in the organisations are: Resource Mobilization and Partnership building Department (RMPB) and Research, planning and Capacity Building (RPCB) Department.

Pact Ethiopia had invested in alternative basic education centres to serve both children and adults in
rural areas who have little access to formal schooling. Spread out in 43 localities, the ABECs, as they're known, are led by hundreds of Pact-trained community volunteers who help nearly 33,000 kids and 17,000 adults with literacy and math skills. 10 ABEC centers were built in Konso with KDA which are transformed to primary schools.
Pact is also helping more than 500 children about civic responsibility and HIV/AIDS prevention. Children involved in Scouting, student councils and other self-governed groups learn good civic behavior and how to protect themselves and others against HIV infection.

Cooperazione Internazionale Sud Sud is a no profit association founded in 1985. Since 1989, it has implemented many projects in many parts of the world. Ciss had implemented two project with Konso Development Association in order to develop the cultural and economic as aspects of Konso People.

SHAFOCS (SNNPR HIV/AIDS Forum of Civil Societies Consortium) formally SHAFON was first established in May 2004 by 51 Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Faith-based organizations (FBO), Community-based organizations (CBO) and PLWHA associations that operate in the region.
SHAFOCS was mainly established to unite and empower its members to develop a sustained collective response to the HIV&AIDS epidemic and HIV impact in SNNPR through participation, information exchange, networking & partnership and providing factual data and information on HIV & AIDS particularly in the region and generally at National and International level. KDA has got different capacity building training through SHAFOCS on methods of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control and other related topics.
